Possible explosive found in Valley Glen neighborhood
Authorities were investigating after a possible explosive device was found in the Valley Glen area Wednesday. A bomb squad with the Los Angeles Police Department was called to the 6100 block of Rhodes Avenue, near the intersection of Whitsett Avenue and Oxnard Street, around 9:10 a.m. Evacuations were issued in the immediate area. No further information was released by authorities.
