Accidental House Fire in Trappe, Talbot County Displaces Four, Causes Major Damage
A house fire that occurred this morning on Backtown Road in Trappe in Talbot County has been ruled accidental according to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal. Fire officials say discarded ashes from a burn barrel caused the blaze which began on the outside back porch. As a result, four individuals were displaced, and an estimated $250,000 in damage was done to the one-story, wood-framed, single-family dwelling. No injuries were reported.
