【宜野座】宜野座村松田区国道３２９号沿いの當眞商店前のホウオウボクが真っ赤に咲き誇り、写真撮影する通行人やドライバーらを楽しませている。　店主の當眞繁子さん（９２）は「沖縄が日本復帰した１９７２年に、長男の誕生記念に苗を２本植えた」と話す。落花し赤いじゅうたんのようになるため、毎日２回は掃除をする。
